WCC Institutions Win Nine Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association All-Sports Trophies

University of Portland ranked fifth in Learfield Sports Directors' Cup Standings

SAN BRUNO, Calif - The Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association (DI-AAA ADA) released its All-Sports Trophy Winners for the 2009-10 season. University of Portland was the fifth-ranked Division I-AAA institution in the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup Standings, while the West Coast Conference was represented nine times across seven different sports.

The University of Denver received the Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association (DI-AAA ADA) All-Sports trophy for the 2009-10 year for the third straight year, tallying 306.80 total points in the standings.

Rounding out the top-five in Division I were St. John's (N.Y.) in second with 296.50 points, UC Santa Barbara in third with 205.00 points, UC Irvine in fourth with 201.50 points and Portland in fifth with 193.00 points.

The following WCC institutions captured 2009-10 DI-AAA ADA All-Sports Trophies:

Men's basketball - St. Mary's (Calif.)

Women's golf - Pepperdine

Men's soccer - Portland

Women's soccer - Portland, Saint Mary's (Calif.)

Softball - St. Mary's (Calif.)

Men's tennis - Pepperdine

Women's tennis - Pepperdine, St. Mary's (Calif.)

Women's volleyball - St. Mary's (Calif.)
