Nick Cartan Position: Sports Services Coordinator

Nick Cartan joined the West Coast Conference as the Sports Services Coordinator after earning his Master's Degree in Sport Industry Management from Georgetown University. Cartan has a wide array of experience in athletics administration, including serving as a Government Relations Intern with the NCAA in Washington, DC, working as a Basketball Operations Intern with Octagon Athletes and Personalities, and interning with the Oakland A's.

As Sports Services Coordinator, Cartan works primarily in the fields of championships, governance and compliance. His responsibilities in the compliance field include coordinating the administration of the WCC National Letter of Intent, managing issues of student-athlete eligibility and assisting with NCAA waivers, interpretations and legislation. Nick is also involved with the Conference governance process and works with administrative advisory groups and task forces.

In addition, Cartan is the tournament director for assigned WCC championship events and serves as the secondary contact for all other WCC Championships. He also spearheads several Conference-wide community service initiatives in conjunction with his championship responsibilities.
