Stefanie Ordoveza joined the West Coast Conference in November of 2008 as the Communications and New Media Coordinator. A native of nearby Daly City, Ordoveza joins the staff after receiving her B.S.E. in Business Administration (with a concentration in Marketing) from member institution Saint Mary's College, with a minor in communication. Ordoveza is no stranger to the WCC as she worked in the Saint Mary's athletics department while a student-athlete as a promotions intern. She coordinated promotional activities at men's and women's basketball games as well as handled financial transactions for merchandise, fees, and contests. She was a four-year member of the women's tennis team, adding to her familiarity with the conference. Ordoveza also brings a journalistic background to the position as she spent time as a sports editor/staff writer for the Collegian, the Saint Mary's student newspaper. Since July 2009, Ordoveza's position at the WCC has transitioned to the Associate Director for Marketing and New Media role, where she manages a variety of projects, including the conference-wide video streaming enhancement program and community service events and initiatives for conference-sponsored sports. She also continues to lead the marketing directors group and oversee the WCC "REPRESENT" campaign, the WCC's sportsmanship initiative launched in 2010. Ordoveza works closely with the Director of Communications to sustain and improve new social media initiatives, especially those on WCCsports.com and Facebook. She is the primary media contact for women's volleyball, men's and women's tennis, and women's rowing. She continues to assist in media responsibilities for men's and women's basketball, maintenance of the conference website, writing and editing of WCC publications, and preparation and administration of conference championships. |
