SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for October 12, 2015.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – CONNER BEVANS, SR., F - GONZAGA
In Gonzaga's first WCC match of the season, senior forward, Conner Bevans had a hand in both goals of a 2-1 overtime victory at Portland, including scoring the game-winner just 2:05 into the extra frame. After serving a free kick in to David Sigurdsson for the Zags' first goal, Bevans ripped a rocket from 30 yards out in overtime past the Pilot keeper for his second game-winner of the season.
Bevans was a force in the game, notching three of Gonzaga's seven shots on goal and helping the Bulldogs outshoot Portland on the road 16-8 overall and 7-2 on goal. His three points in the game gave him six for the season on two goals and two assists, ranking him second on the team.
