Alice Jensen Named WCC Women's Runner of the Month

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Women’s Runner of the Month for September 2015.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE MONTH – Alice Jensen, FR. – BYU

Brigham Young freshman, Alice Jensen is already making a big impact for the Cougars, placing top ten in a pair of races to start her first collegiate season. Jensen, from Maple Valley Wash., ran away with medalist honors, placing first, at the WCC Preview. She finished her tour of the championship course at Plantes Ferry Park in 21:18.09 leading the Cougars to a first place team finish.

She also placed 10th in the BYU Autumn Classic with a time of 17:47.0.

The 2015 WCC Cross Country Championships take place at the Spokane course, hosted by Gonzaga University, on October 31.

-Sept. 19: WCC Preview, 1st Indiv. 21:18.09 (6k)
