BYU’s Ashley Hatch Named WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – BYU senior forward Ashley Hatch has been named the West Coast Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Hatch earned her second career hat trick as No. 14 BYU upset No. 5 Penn State on the road Friday night in State College, Penn. Hatch scored the first two goals of the game and the game-winner to push the Cougars past the defending national champions.

She pushed her career goal total to 33, which places her seventh all-time at BYU. She has scored all five of the Cougars’ goals through three games in 2016.
