BYU’s Boswell Named WCC Volleyball Player of the Week - Again

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Volleyball Player of the Week for November 23, 2016. This is the final weekly honor of the 2016 season. 

Senior middle blocker Amy Boswell helped No. 10 BYU women’s volleyball to three road wins over the week to collect the outright West Coast Conference title for a third-consecutive season. It is the second straight weekly accolade for Boswell, who was named to the WCC All-Academic squad for the third straight season on Monday. 

Against San Francisco, she was nearly flawless – collecting a match-high 16 kills with just one hitting error for a .577 clip. She also added four solo blocks, second-most all-time in the BYU rally-scoring era. Then, against Santa Clara, Boswell added 13 kills on a .375 clip and had a match-high six blocks. To finish off the week at Loyola Marymount, she collected 15 kills on a .314 hitting percentage. 

On the week, Boswell averaged 3.39 kills per set, a .412 clip, 4.19 points per set while adding six solo blocks and five block assists.
