BYU’s Fishburn Named WCC Men’s Golfer of the Month – October

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has announced the WCC Men’s Golfer of the Month for October.

Junior Patrick Fishburn played in three tournaments during the month of Octoberand posted three top-10 finishes, highlighted by medalist honors. 

Fishburn won the Pacific Invitational shooting 9-under-par and beating out 77 other golfers. In the same tournament, Fishburn lifted the Cougars to a 16-shot team tournament title. 

At the Nick Watney Invitational, Fishburn also helped his team to a first place finish and tied for third place. The junior tied his career-lowest round of golf at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational in Fairfax, California with two rounds of 66 (-5) en route to a share of sixth place. 

For the month, Fishburn posted a stroke average of 68.55, including six rounds in the 60s, including a whopping three loops at 66.
