SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Four West Coast Conference volleyball programs earned berths in the 2015 NCAA Volleyball Championships as announced Sunday on ESPNU. This marks the second straight year that four teams have marched into the postseason.
BYU, the 2014 NCAA National Runner-Up and two-time defending WCC Champion captured a No. 9 national seed and will host the first two rounds. The Cougars will open against Ohio Friday, December 4. Loyola Marymount makes its second straight appearance and will take on Colorado State Thursday, December 3 at Stanford.
San Diego, a 2015 NCAA Regional host will tackle NAU Thursday, December 3 at USC. This is the sixth straight NCAA trip for the Toreros. Santa Clara will make its second straight NCAA tournament and will open against Michigan Thursday, December 3 at UCLA.

PROVO, Utah – No. 13 seed BYU women’s volleyball will participate in the 2015 NCAA Tournament, hosting Ohio Friday night at the Smith Fieldhouse in the first round.
"We're excited for the opportunity to continue playing at the Smith Fieldhouse," BYU head coach Heather Olmstead said. "Our team's excited to play a very good Ohio team. We're looking forward to hosting them and getting in some practices at home this week in preparation for our match on Friday."
The Cougars (26-3, 16-2 West Coast Conference) will play against the Ohio in the first round and the winner will compete against the winner of the match between Arizona and Western Kentucky. BYU and Ohio will play Friday at 7 p.m. MST with Arizona and Western Kentucky facing off right before at 5 p.m. MST on Elaine Michaelis Court. The winners will play Saturday at 7 p.m. MST in the second round.
BYU, Ohio, Arizona and Western Kentucky are part of the Lexington Region. Saturday's winner will advance to the regional semifinals on Dec. 11 at the University of Kentucky.
The last time the Cougars played in the NCAA tournament was in 2014, when they reached the national championship match. BYU has made it to the regional semifinals in each of the past three seasons.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The LMU volleyball team earned its third at-large bid in the last four years into the NCAA Division I Championship, and will open play Thursday, December 3 against Mountain West Champion and #12 Colorado State (26-3). The match, which will be held at #8-seed Stanford, will be contested at 4:30 pm PT. Joining the Lions and Rams, who have won 20 consecutive matches, in the four-team quadrant will be Stanford and New Mexico State.
The trip to the NCAA Tournament is the 13th in program history for the Lions. LMU had previously been sent to Stanford the last two times it reached the Tournament (2012 and 2014). The Lions are one of four West Coast Conference teams to earne a spot in the tournament, including WCC Champion BYU, Santa Clara and San Diego.
LMU, which carried an RPI of 29 headed into this week, finished the regular season with a 22-8 overall record, including a 13-5 mark in the WCC to claim a share of third place in the conference standings. The third-place finish is the best for the Lions since finishing third in 2003. The Lions have also recorded back-to-back 20-plus win seasons for the first time since 1999-00, and posted 10-plus WCC wins in consecutive years for the first time since 1996-97. LMU's 13 WCC wins are the most since going a perfect 14-0 in 1996.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The University of San Diego women’s volleyball team has learned they will take on Northern Arizona University in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday at 5 p.m. up at USC’s Galen Center. The winner of this match, will take on the winner of the No. 1 overall seeded USC Trojans, and Cleveland State on Friday at 7 p.m.
USD has already received the bid to host the Regional rounds of this year’s NCAA Tournament on Dec. 11 and 12. Should USD advance out of this first and second round’s, they will get to play inside the friendly confines of the Jenny Craig Pavilion. San Diego is making its 19th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and sixth consecutive trip. The Toreros are 13-18 all-time in the tournament and have advanced to the Sweet 16 three times, in the 2004, 2006, and 2013 seasons. USD has never faced Northern Arizona in the NCAA Tournament, and are 4-4 all-time against the Lumberjacks. The Toreros and Trojans have squared off five times in the NCA Tournament with USC coming out on top in all those matches. USD has never faced Cleveland State in the history of the program.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara makes its 16th NCAA Tournament appearance and the 13th under head coach Jon Wallace. The Broncos will play Michigan Thursday, December 3 at Pauley Pavilion on the UCLA campus. It marks the second straight NCAA berth for Santa Clara.
