SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Saint Mary’s freshman forward Joseph Restani has been named the West Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Restani notched his team-leading third goal of the season in Sunday’s 1-0 win against San Francisco to push the Gaels to 2-2 in conference play. The striker scored the game-winner in the 20th minute after taking control of the ball and sending it into the left corner of the net. He finished the fixture with two shots on goal.
All three of Restani’s goals in his freshman season have been game-winners for the Gaels.
