SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference and Zappos.com , the title sponsor of the 2010 WCC Basketball Championships, will join together for the second-ever WCC Kidz Day, Powered by Zappos.com. The event will take place on Monday, March 8th at 9:00 AM at the Orleans Arena.
Approximately 600 kids from the Greater Las Vegas After-School All-Stars program will be participating in this year's Kidz Day event, where each kid will receive a new pair of shoes donated by Zappos.com, an event T-shirt, an educational booklet, snacks, and the opportunity to meet WCC band members, cheerleaders and mascots before attending the WCC Women's Basketball Championship game.
"We are excited to partner with our friends at Zappos.com to make this event a successful one than last year," said WCC Commissioner Jamie Zaninovich. "Using our conference's premier event as a platform to give back in a way that touches those in the Las Vegas community is something that made sense to the both of us."
More than 115 Zappos.com employees have committed to arriving at the Orleans Arena early Monday morning to volunteer their time and energy, while the WCC will have representation from its eight member institutions.
