SAN BRUNO, Calif. - West Coast Conference fans looking for the latest up-to-the-minute news about the conference can now follow the WCC through the new WCCSports Twitter page.
WCC fans can now follow WCCSports daily updates at http://twitter.com/WCCSports.
"The WCC is committed to leveraging social networking platforms like Twitter to provide a dynamic new way to communicate and reach audiences who may not receive their news in traditional ways," said WCC Commissioner Jamie Zaninovich. "Instead of waiting for our fans to come to our Web site to access our news and important information we can broadcast our message to them via Twitter."
Twitter is a free social networking and mirco-blogging service that allows users to communicate and stay connected through quick 140 character messages, similar to a Facebook status update.
With Twitter, WCC fans will be able to receive news instantly via mobile phone, instant messaging (IM), Facebook or through e-mail.
The WCCSports Twitter page will be updated throughout the day to provide fans with a real-time outlet for breaking news, up-to-the-minute headlines, links to video and audio clips and much more.
Sign up for Twitter now and follow the WCC today!
