WCC 25th Anniversary of Women's Athletics Team, presented by Zappos.com: Members 41-50

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The last group of individuals from the 25th Anniversary of Women's Athletics team is among the most impressive collection of former student-athletes to have ever competed in the WCC. Included in this final group is four who have competed in the Olympics, three who were named National Player of the Year in their respective sports, and eight who were named All-American.

Leslie Osborne, Santa Clara University
Soccer - Midfielder, 2001-2004

  • Two-time first team All-American (2003, 04)

  • Two-time WCC Player of the Year Award (2003, 04)

  • Won U-19 World Cup for USA (2001)

  • Current member of the Boston Breakers

  • Honda Award Winner & Semi-finalist for MAC Hermann Trophy (2004)

  • Four-time All-WCC First Team

  • WCC Defender of the Year (2004)

  • Member of the USA Women's Senior National team

    Amanda Rego, University of San Diego
    Basketball - Guard, 2004-2008

  • WCC Co-Player of Year (2007)

  • Two-time WCC First Team Selection (2007, 2008)

  • Led nation in assists per game at 7.6 (2007)

  • WCC Tourney MVP & All-Tournament (2008)

  • USD's all-time assist leader with 582

  • USD's all-time steals leader with 240

  • Two times recorded triple doubles (2007, 2008)

  • Second in nation in assists per game at 8.5 (2008)

    Julie Rubenstein, Pepperdine University
    Volleyball - Outside Hitter, 2005-2008

  • AVCA All-American 3rd team (2009)

  • Four-time All-WCC honoree (three times on first team)

  • Three-time WCC All-Academic; Two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District

  • Ended career #3 in kills (1,743), #5 in aces (116), #10 in digs (973)

  • Played with USA A2 and Select teams

  • NCAA Woman of the Year semifinalist (2009)

  • Team went to 4 NCAA Tournaments, 2005 Round of 16

  • WCC and NCAA national SAAC representative

    Nicole Sanderson, Pepperdine University
    Volleyball - Outside Hitter, 1994-1997

  • Four-time All-WCC 1st team (one of only three)

  • WCC's all-time leader in kills (2,028)

  • Played for Australia's national indoor team while at Pepperdine

  • Competed at the 2004 Olympics for Australia in beach volleyball

  • Team made NCAA Tournament and ranked #24 (1997)

  • Pepperdine records in aces (147) and points (2,380.5)

  • Led Pepperdine in kills all four seasons

  • Inducted into Pepperdine Athletics Hall of Fame (2008)

    Martha Sheldon, University of Portland
    Basketball - Guard/Forward, 1988-1992

  • Two-time All-America (1992, First Team; 1991, Third Team)

  • Two-time Academic All-America (1992, First Team; 1991, Third Team)

  • WCC Records: Single-season overall points (721/26.7 ppg in 1991-92), single-season points in WCC games (401/28.6 ppg in 1992), career leader in overall points (1,953), points in WCC games (966), career leader in overall field goals made (744), field goals made in a season (252 in 1991-92), field goals in a game (18 against Wake Forest on Nov. 29, 1991) and most points scored in a game and WCC game (45 on Feb. 1, 1992 against Gonzaga)

    Katie Wilkins, Pepperdine University
    Volleyball - Outside Hitter, 2000-2003

  • Three-time AVCA All-American (2003, first team; two-time second team)

  • Won three WCC titles, made four NCAA Tourneys (2002 Elite Eight)

  • Three-time WCC Player of the Year; three-time All-WCC 1st team

  • Second in points, fourth in kills (1,672) in Pepperdine history

  • Three-time AVCA All-Pacific Region

  • Eight-time WCC Player of the Week (most in Pepperdine history)

  • Trained with U.S. National and A2 teams while at Pepperdine

  • Still playing professionally

    Lindsey Wright, Pepperdine University

  • Four-time women's golf All-American (only four-time in Pepperdine history)
