SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- With all fall round robin sports in action, the West Coast Conference is pleased to announce its WCC Players of the Week selections.
Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Jack McCormack, Loyola Marymount, GK, RS JR
Redshirt junior Jack McCormack had to be on his game, pitching a pair of 1-0 shutouts to help LMU climb into sole possession of first place in the WCC standings after the opening weekend. On Friday at San Francisco, McCormack helped LMU secure its first win in a WCC road opener since 2005 by making four second-half saves after the Lions had taken the lead just before the half. It was a similar story on Sunday at Saint Mary's as he posted all five of his saves in the second half to preserve LMU's 1-0 victory. His clean sheets were his third and fourth of the season and helped LMU to its first 2-0-0 start in conference play since 2004.

Women's Soccer Player of the Week

Moving to her left, she hit a beautiful dipping shot from just outside the box with her left foot that went to the far post and into the upper right-hand corner. The win snapped UCLA's nation-best 73-match home unbeaten streak. It gave Pepperdine its first win over UCLA in 14 matches since 1993. It was Manning's second goal of the season and third of her career. During Sunday night's 1-1 tie at CSU Bakersfield, she had game highs of five shots (tied) and three shots on goal.
