Portland, San Francisco Share Top Spot in WCC Commissioner's Cup, Presented by Comcast Cable

SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- The University of Portland and the University of San Francisco are the co-leaders in the first update of the 2010-11 West Coast Conference Commissioner's Cup standings, presented by Comcast Cable.

The Pilots and Dons share the lead at 15.0 points following their respective performances at the 2010 WCC Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 30 at Crystal Springs Course in Belmont, Calif. The Pilots captured their 32nd straight WCC Men's Cross Country Championship and finished second in the women's team standings, while the Dons won their second consecutive WCC Women's Cross Country Championship and finished second in the men's standings.

Loyola Marymount and Santa Clara are tied for third with 11 points, followed by Gonzaga (8.0), San Diego (5.0), Pepperdine (4.0) and Saint Mary's (3.0).

The next Commissioner's Cup update, presented by Comcast Cable, will come following the conclusion of the women's soccer regular season this weekend. Portland is assured of taking the outright lead in the Commissioner's Cup standings by virtue of already clinching the 2010 WCC Women's Soccer Championship.
