WCC Players of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Gonzaga's Jeremy Pargo and Pepperdine's Daphanie Kennedy are this week's WCC Players of the Week. Pargo led the Zags to wins over Saint Joseph's and Connecticut, while Kennedy lifted the Waves past UCLA.

Gonzaga junior guard Jeremy Pargo is this week's WCC Player of the Week for his performance on the Bulldogs' recent East Coast swing. Pargo led the Zags to a 70-65 overtime win at Saint Joseph's and an 85-82 win over Connecticut in Boston. Pargo chipped in seven points to go along with seven rebounds and three assists in the Zags thriller versus Saint Joseph's. He followed that up with a career-high tying 23 points and five assists in Gonzaga's win versus Connecticut. For the week, Pargo averaged 15.0 ppg to go along with 5.5 rpg and 4.0 apg.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Daphanie Kennedy, PEP
SR - Guard
Pepperdine senior guard Daphanie Kennedy was selected as the WCC Player of the Week after leading the Waves to a 91-79 win over UCLA. Kennedy scored 27 points against UCLA last Wednesday to lead the Waves to the win. She also recorded a .471 shooting percentage and had seven assists. The senior guard became the 16th player in Pepperdine history to surpass the 1,000-career point level during the UCLA game. Kennedy finished the game with 1010-career points.
