SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for January 18, 2016.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JOCK LANDALE, SO., C – SAINT MARY'S
Sophomore center Jock Landale went a perfect 7-for-7 from the field and 10-of-12 from the free throw line off the bench en route to a career-high 24 points in Saint Mary's 78-62 victory over Pacific last Thursday in McKeon Pavilion. Landale led all scorers in a career-high 30 minutes against the Tigers and grabbed five rebounds in the lone game of the week for the Gaels. His 10 free throws, 12 free throw attempts and his seven field goals were also a career highs. Landale now leads the WCC in field goal percentage at .667, is eighth in the WCC in free throw percentage (.772), 11th in defensive rebounds (3.9) and 12th in rebounds per game (5.6). Landale ranks fourth on the team in scoring at 10.4 in just 16.7 minutes per game.
