Li Nabs Final Non-Conference Player of the Week Honor

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for December 21, 2015.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – AMEELA LI, FR., G - PACIFIC
Freshman Ameela Li was asked to step up and fill in at starting point guard this week, and set a new career-high in assists in each game with 16 dishes in two games while hitting double-figures in scoring and leading Pacific to two wins to conclude non-conference play.

Earning her second career start against Stanislaus State, she tied her high in points (12) set a new assist mark (7) and shot 56 percent. Against Nevada, Li again set a new career-high with nine assists while scoring 10 points on 63 percent shooting in addition to grabbing a career-best four steals.

For the week, Li averaged 11.0 points, 8.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. She shot 58.8 percent from the field, 30.0 from behind the arc and 50.0 percent from the charity stripe.
