LMU’s Charlee Pruitt Named WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Loyola Marymount redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Charlee Pruitt has been named the West Coast Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. 

Pruitt had a breakout weekend in goal for the Lions, tallying a career-high 10 saves against No. 24 Texas Tech to solidify a draw against the nationally-ranked opponent. The 10 saves are the fourth-most by a WCC goalkeeper this season.

In LMU’s lone game of the week, Pruitt led the Lions to their first draw against a ranked opponent since the 2012 season. With the score tied 1-1 after regulation, Pruitt made three key saves in the first golden goal overtime period to help secure the result.
