SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Loyola Marymount junior forward Pilar Torres has been named the West Coast Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

After competing her first two years at Wake Forest, Torres netted her first career goals as a Lion over the weekend as LMU swept Long Beach State and Ball State. Torres netted the opening goal against the Beach, a team receiving votes in the NSCAA poll and ranked No. 18 by Soccer America, to help the Lions to a 2-1 road win Friday night.

Torres kept her hot streak going as she tabbed the second goal in a 4-0 thumping over Ball State Sunday morning, extending LMU’s home win streak to a record 12 games.
