SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Loyola Marymount sophomore forward Sarina Bolden has been named the West Coast Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Bolden helped push the Lions to a perfect 2-0-0 conference start this weekend in wins against Gonzaga and Portland to earn her first career conference honor.
The sophomore tallied a goal and an assist in both of LMU’s WCC wins this weekend for a total of two goals and two assists in two WCC games, earning six points on the weekend. Playing for 85 and 84 minutes in the two matches, respectively, Bolden began the week by hitting the game-winner to defeat Gonzaga. She then assisted on the game-winner and added the second goal against the Pilots on Sunday to help secure not only the shutout victory at Merlo Field, but also helped the Lions earn the team’s first away win against the Pilots in program history.
Bolden now has five goals and 13 points on the year, both team-highs.
