Malina Hood Named WCC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for November 23, 2015. 

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – MALINA HOOD, SR, G – SAN DIEGO 
Senior guard Malina helped lead San Diego to a pair of wins this past week, including a win over Pac-12 member Arizona. Hood paced the Torero offense, averaging 22.5 ppg, while shooting .533 from the field, and she averaged 4.5 rebounds-per-game.   

Hood began the week with a season-high 25-point performance against CSU Northridge.  She then backed that up with a 20 point performance in the USD upset win over the Wildcats.  Against Arizona, she just missed a double-double with seven boards, to go along with a pair of assists.
