SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named Pepperdine junior Guilherme Hadlich the West Coast Conference Singles Player of the Week and the San Diego duo of Uros Petronijevic and Filip Vittek the Doubles Team of the Week.
Hadlich led the Waves to a 6-1 win over San Diego State on the road this past week, dropping No. 89-ranked Frederik Gelbrich 6-0, 6-3 in the No. 1 singles position. Hadlich is currently 9-3 overall in singles play throughout the 2015-16 campaign, including a 3-1 record in the 2016 dual season, all in the number one position. He owns a 1-1 record against nationally ranked opposition in singles play.
Petronijevic and Vittek landed their second win in as many pairings this season with a 6-1 defeat of No. 29 Rice’s David Warren and Adam Gustafsson in the No. 1 spot. The match clinched the doubles point for the Toreros. USD had lost six consecutive doubles points before Petronijevic and Vittek were paired up two weeks ago.
