Mills Earns Back-to-Back Runner of Month

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Women’s Runner of the Month for November 2015

 

WEST COAST CONFERENCE WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE MONTH – Shelby Mills, Sr. – GON

 

Gonzaga’s Shelby Mills had a senior season to remember, she now finishes off her cross-country career as back-to-back runner of the month. With her seventh place finish at NCAA West Regionals, the WCC Runner of the Year led the Gonzaga women to their first-ever team appearance at the NCAA National Championships. The finish earned her All-Region honors and led the Zags to their best team finish at regionals in the last 16 years. At nationals Mills once again paced the Zag women, finishing 82nd individually and helping secure Gonzaga a top 25 spot in the nation. Mills was the top WCC finisher at both NCAA West Regionals and NCAA Nationals.
