SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Women’s Golfer of the Month for April.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE MONTH – CIERA MIN, JR. - GONZAGA
Junior Ciera Min saved the best for last. After seeing her best tournament of the spring at the Silverado Showdown April 3-5, Min exploded at the WCC Championships for her first career tournament victory. She averaged 73.17 strokes during those two tournaments, more than a stroke under her yearly average, and picked up her first tournament win at the WCC Championships, using the program’s lowest score in relation to par (6-under 66) for the conference title.
She became the third Bulldog in the last five years to win the conference championship. Against a tough field at the Silverado Showdown (ranked 21st-most difficult tournament all year by GolfWeek), the Hilo, Hawaii, native was just one stroke away from of a Top-25 finish.
