Pacific’s Ashlyn Fleming Named WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Volleyball Player of the Week for October 10, 2016. 

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ASHLYN FLEMING, FR., MB – PACIFIC
Freshman middle blocker Ashlyn Fleming turned the strongest week of her young Pacific
 career with a pair of standout road performances against nationally elite programs. Fleming and the Tigers opened the week with a five-set thriller at No. 5 San Diego and the first-year player tallied 15 kills on .407 hitting to go along with seven blocks and 20.5 points.

Fleming was even more efficient at No. 13 BYU, collecting 16 kills on 20 swings with no attack errors for a sizzling .800 hitting percentage and 16 points. For the week the Tiger middle averaged 3.88 kills on .574 attacking and committed just four attack errors on 47 attempts to go along with .086 blocks and 4.56 points per set.
