Pacific Sweeps Men’s Tennis Weekly Honors

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named Pacific senior Sem Verbeek the West Coast Conference Singles Player of the Week and the Pacific duo of Daniel Alameh and Alex Gianini the Doubles Team of the Week.

Verbeek posted a straight-set win over San Francisco at No. 1 singles as the Tigers moved to 2-0 in WCC action. He helped lead the Tigers to the conference victory with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Nils Skajaa. Verbeek improved to 7-1 in singles this season, all at first position, including 2-0 in WCC play.

The senior and junior tandem of Alameh and Giannini posted a victory at No. 2 doubles in the Tigers’ win at San Francisco on Saturday to move to 5-0 on the year as a doubles pairing. The duo defeated conference opponents Ryan Marker and Thomas Takemoto 6-2.
