SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for September 21, 2015.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK –HUGO RHOADS, SR., D - PORTLAND
Senior defender Hugo Rhoads scored the game-winner and helped the Pilots record a 1-0 shutout of previously unbeaten and eighth-ranked Oregon State on Thursday night at Merlo Field. Rhoads’ winner came in impressive fashion after an OSU clearance of a Portland corner ended up at his feet, 25 yards out. The senior defender took a touch to control the ball before drilling a shot through traffic and into the right side of the net. It was the first time this season the top-10 Beavers had trailed in a match and it would prove to be the difference.

It’s Rhoads’ second goal of the year and he helped the Pilots record their second shutout of the fall.

Also Nominated: Marvin Schmiege, San Diego
