Saint Mary’s Jock Landale Named WCC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for November 14, 2016.

Junior center Jock Landale had a night to remember, as the newly appointed starter recorded career-highs to lead the No. 17 Gaels past Nevada, 81-63 in the 2016-17 season opener Friday at McKeon Pavilion. The 6-11 center started the game scoring the first six points of the contest, and continued to dominate inside the paint going 15 for 20 from the field to finish with 33 points. Along with the offensive production, Landale led the game with a game-high nine boards.
