San Diego, BYU Earn Men’s Tennis Weekly Honors

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named San Diego senior Uros Petronijevic the West Coast Conference Singles Player of the Week and the BYU duo of Jeremy Bourgeois and Aidan Carrazedo the Doubles Team of the Week.

Petronijevic helped the No. 24 Toreros sweep cross-town rival No. 65 San Diego State 4-0 on Saturday. In singles, he defeated No. 89 Freddy Gelbrich 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 1 singles spot. Petronijevic was responsible for two points on the day when he and Filip Vittek won a 6-1 match against Gelbrich and Marko Goles-Babic 6-1 at No. 1 doubles.

The senior tandem of Jeremy Bourgeois and Aidan Carrazedo earned a West Coast Conference win in a match against Gonzaga over the weekend. The duo claimed a 6-2 victory on Saturday at No. 1 doubles against the Bulldogs to help the Cougars finish the week with two WCC wins.
