SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named San Diego senior Uros Petronijevic the West Coast Conference Singles Player of the Week and the Brigham Young duo of Andrey Goryachkov and Shane Monroe the Doubles Team of the Week.

Petronijevic picked up the 82nd and 83rd wins of his career at San Diego last week en route to his second Singles Player of the Week award of the season. Petronijevic defeated Charles Boyce of Loyola Marymount 6-2, 6-0, before knocking off Guilherme Hadlich of Pepperdine 6-2, 7-6(0) to claim two wins at number one singles. He is now in the top-10 all-time for singles-wins in San Diego history. He improves to 4-0 in WCC play this year.

The doubles team of Goryachkov and Monroe earned the weekly honor after a week that saw them defeat the Pepperdine number one doubles team of Guilherme Hadlich and Lautaro Pane 6-2 on Senior Day. The match was Goryachkov’s final home match, and the victory led the Cougars to win the doubles point and eventually led to a 4-2 upset over the Waves. With the help of the doubles point, BYU defeated Pepperdine for the first time since joining the WCC.
