TULSA, Okla. -- The USD men's tennis season came to an end Friday when Uros Petronijevic (singles) and the doubles team of Jordan Angus and Filip Vittek were eliminated in the Round of 16 at the NCAA Championships.

Both lost to opponents ranked in the top ten. Petronijevic lost to South Florida's No. 2 ranked Roberto Cid 6-4, 6-3 and Angus and Vittek fell to Oklahoma State's 10th ranked Julian Cash and Arjun Kadhe 7-5, 6-3.

Petronijevic's run to Round of 16 made him the fifth Torero All-American since the program moved up to D-I in 1980. He finishes his career with 87 career singles victories, tied for ninth most in program history.

Angus, the 2016 Torero of the Year, finishes his USD career with a .725 winning percentage in doubles, the fourth best all-time. Additionally, his 28 doubles wins this season tie him for the most ever for a Torero in a single season.

Vittek, a junior, will enter his senior year with 67 career doubles wins; the school record is 77 (Clarke Spinosa; 2011-14).
