SAN BRUNO, Calif. – San Diego senior midfielder Jacqueline Altschuld has been named the West Coast Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Altschuld helped lead the Toreros to a thrilling 3--2 come-from-behind win over Portland to close out the regular season.
Altschuld played a key role in the game for USD in scoring the game-tying goal before then assisting on the game-winning goal. Both of her offensive contributions came in the last 11 minutes of the match.
This win for San Diego marked the third consecutive against Portland, the first time in program history that the Toreros have defeated the Pilots in three consecutive games.
