SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara sophomore goalkeeper Dakota Havlick has been named the West Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Havlick played his best of the game season when his team needed him most as the Broncos were on the road facing a Southern Methodist University squad that had been ranked this season as high as No. 12 in the NSCAA poll.

Havlick posted his second-straight shutout and his third of the season in the 1-0 victory for Santa Clara. He finished the game with eight saves, six of which came in the first half when the Broncos were under constant pressure from the hosts. The Mustangs fired 11 shots in the first half and 17 for the game.

The sophomore goalkeeper has a league-leading 0.50 goals against average and .864 save percentage. He also ranked No. 16 in the NCAA in both categories.
