SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has announced the WCC Women’s Golfer of the Month for October.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE MEN’S GOLFER OF THE MONTH (OCTOBER): KRISTIN LE, JR. – SANTA CLARA
Junior Kristin Le finished among the top three at both of Santa Clara’s tournaments. The junior shot a 7-under-par 137 (68-69) to claim her second career title, leading the Broncos to victory at the nine-team Cal Poly Lady Mustang Invitational. She led the 53-player field by six strokes with 10 birdies and was deadly on the par-4 holes shooting a tournament-best 6-under. Her 36-hole total was just one stroke off the school record set by Annie Freman at last spring's Fresno State Classic.

This week, Le was in line for her second-straight win after holding a four-stroke lead through 36 holes at the SCU Colby Invitational with a 1-under 143 (73-71). However, she battled flu-like symptoms during Tuesday’s final round, posting an 82 to finish tied for second at 9-over, two shots back of champion Chomchana Phuchanbanchob of CSUN.
