Men's Cross Country Runs Successful Invitational

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego men's cross country team hosted their annual invitational meet on Saturday morning in a dual head-to-head competition with Point Loma Nazarene University. PLNU however took the victory 24-32.

Torero Junior Chris Jacobs captured first place with a time of 19:56.90 in the six kilometer race. Freshman Kevin O'Malley took fifth place overall with a time of 20:43.99. James McLaughlin (2nd, 20:04.40), Landon Bright (3rd, 20:16.44), and Kasey Kear (4th, 20:39.78) from Point Loma rounded out the top five finishers in the race.

The Toreros return to action on Saturday, September 15 at 8:30 a.m. at the Aztec Invitational in Balboa Park.
