RIVERDALE, N.Y. - University of San Diego men's cross country teams raced at the prestigious and historic Van Cortlandt Park in New York City.
It was a historic event for USD Cross Country, as it was the first time USD raced on east coast soil. USD faced 5th ranked Iona, and other Northeast ranked teams like Brown, Boston College, Harvard, and Cornell.
The men's team was once again lead by sophomore, Chris Jacobs (36th in 26.06.4), who recorded an impressive time for the tough Van Cortlandt park course. The men were followed by sophomore Erik Stoddard (86th in 28:21.5), freshmen Marcus Lopez (92nd in 28:39.4), freshmen Martin Jimenez (97th in 29:23.5), sophomore Louis Barrios (108th in 30:09.9), and sophomore Aaron DeLeon (118th in 31.27.2).
Iona won the meet with 26 points, Brown was second with 66 points, Boston College was fourth with 93 points and Harvard was fifth with 108 points.
