Freshman Caitlin White was the top individual performer for Pepperdine at the NCAA West Regional Division I Cross Country Championships that were run Saturday morning at Blue Lake Park in Gresham, Oregon. White turned in a time of 23:40 to place 108th while the Waves finished 27th in the 30-team field.
In the men's eight-kilometer run, senior Chris Gaudreau, who ran as individual placed 131st with a time of 34:17.
Stanford captured the women's six-kilometer run to finish ahead of second-place UC Santa Barbara, which totaled 72 points. The Cardinal tallied 42 points to post the victory and advance to the NCAA Championships in Terra Haute, Indiana, on November 20.
Stanford captured the top four spots and five of the top 15.
In the men's competition, Oregon registered 69 points to finish ahead of Stanford, which totaled 88 points.
The NCAA West Regional Championships brought to a close Pepperdine's 2006 season.
