USD men's cross country team completed their season at Blue Lake Park in Portland Oregon. The USD men were paced by Sophomore Chris Jacobs who placed 102nd overall and ran a 10km time of 33:15.
"Chris [Jacobs] ran a well paced raced and showed a lot of patience during the 1st half of the race," head coach Will Guarino said. "It was good to see him move up during the 2nd half of the race to record the 7th fastest USD 10km all time."
Other USD runners who competed were: sophomore, Erik Stoddard (126, 34:14), freshmen Marcus Lopez (150, 35:07), freshmen Martin Jimenez (160, 37:00), sophomore Mark Hubbard (162, 38:10), freshmen Louis Barrios (163rd, 38:11), senior Chris Durst (164th, 38:59).
"This is a team that was exposed to the fastest cross country region in the NCAA," Guarino said. "I am pleased with the lessons that they learned which will enable them to further build as a young team."
San Diego wraps up their season and will begin off season training for 2007-2008.
