SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- Former Torero cross-country runner Kirsten Allan of the claimed the 38th fastest time amongst women at the Boston Marathon today with a finishing time of 2:50:11. This was exactly five minutes faster than her time last year.
Her time makes her one of the top 20 Americans that raced. "This is an impressive result for Kirsten" said Coach Will Guarino. "Last year she got 85th overall and today along with the field that faced cold strong head winds and rain. With ideal conditions Kirsten would have pushed 2:46 and the Olympic Trial "B" standard is 2:43. The last date to qualify will be on January 17, 2016.
