Miller 20th At Sundodger Invitational

SEATTLE, Wash. - Gonzaga University's men finished ninth while the Bulldog women finished 14th at the Sundodger Invitational cross country meet hosted by the University of Washington on Saturday at Lincoln Park.

The Bulldog men had 250 points and finished ahead of West Coast Conference rival Santa Clara University which was 10th with 275. Chico State University captured the team title with 40 points.

Joe Miller, who sat out the season-opening meet two week's ago, made his 2006 debut for the Bulldogs, covering the 8K course in 24:43 to finish 20th. Scott Bauhs of Chico State captured the men's race in 23:43.

On the women's side, the Bulldogs had 388 points in a race won by the University of Michigan with 27. Kara Rasmussen was the top Gonzaga finisher, taking 85th in 22:52 over the 6K layout. Erin Webster of Michigan captured the individual title in 20:17.

The next action for the Bulldogs will be next Saturday when they participate in the Whitworth College Short Course meet in Spokane.
