Portland freshman Scott Fauble is the WCC Men's Cross Country Player of the Month

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference is pleased to recognize its September Men's Cross Country Player of the Month, Scott Fauble from the University of Portland.

SCOTT FAUBLE, FRESHMAN, PORTLAND

Portland redshirt-freshman Scott Fauble is the WCC Men's Cross Country Player of the Month for September. Fauble led all finishers in a loaded field at the WCC Preview Meet in Portland, Ore. with a winning time of 23:15.09, including a sprint to the finish to earn a 0.28 second win.

Fauble's finish also led the Pilots to a team victory at the WCC Preview Meet, as they easily outpaced runner-up Chico State by a margin of 41 points. Fauble's performance has helped Portland cement their status as top-5 team in the USTFCCCA national rankings.
