USF Cross Country Set To Compete At SF State Invitational

(San Francisco, CA) - The USF Men's and Women's Cross Country teams will be competing this Saturday, October 7, at the 2006 San Francisco State University Invitational.

The race, held in Lindley Meadows at Golden Gate Park will include men's teams from Saint Mary's, Fresno State, San Jose State, San Francisco State, and Chico State. On the Women's side, teams from Saint Mary's, Chico State, Fresno State, Pacific, San Jose State, and San Francisco State among others.

The course, located along JFK Drive near 30th Ave is the same course as 2005 Invitational and 2005 CCAA Championships. Start and Finish are in the west end of Lindley Meadows. The course consists of grass and mostly packed dirt trails; rolling terrain with a downhill last half mile finish.

The men's 8k will begin at 8:15 AM and the women's 6k will begin at 9:00 AM.
