Cross Country Ready For Final Tune-Up Before WCC Championships

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The USD Men's and Women's cross country squads will travel to San Luis Obispo on Saturday, October 13 for its last tune-up race before the West Coast Conference championships in the Bay Area.

The Torero teams are coming off of a bye weekend after their busy competition schedule during the month of September.

"Our young runners are really excited about racing in San Luis Obispo," said Will Guarino, cross country head coach. "This is a course that feels a lot like our conference course at Crystal Springs in Belmont, Calif."

The Toreros will face tough regional competition including, Fresno State, UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, and host Cal Poly San Luis Obispo who are ranked No. 30 on the Division I Men's USTFCCCA poll.

The race will be held at the Cuesta-Fairbanks Memorial Cross Country Course in San Luis Obispo, California on Saturday, October 13. First race is scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
