SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference is pleased to recognize its October Women's Cross Country Player of the Month, Eva Krchova from the University of San Francisco.

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PLAYER OF THE MONTH
EVA KRCHOVA, JUNIOR, SAN FRANCISCO

San Francisco junior Eva Krchova is the WCC Women's Cross Country Player of the Month for October. Krchova, from Brno, Czech Republic, has been fleet of foot in the month of October, taking the individual title at the West Coast Conference Championships while edging her teammate Elena Burkard for the top spot. This marks the first time a San Francisco runner has won the individual WCC title, and paved the way for Krchova to take WCC Player of the Year honors after her performance.

Krchova also ran at the Adidas Wisconsin Invitational, the Dons' most challenging non-championship meet of the season. San Francisco finished 20th out of 49 teams and Krchova's time of 20:43 was good for 81st place in the highly competitive field from across the country.

Also nominated: Laura Hottenrott-Frietag, Portland; Sheree Shea, Loyola Marymount; Natalie Shields, BYU
