SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference is pleased to recognize its October Women's Cross Country Player of the Month, Grace Graham-Zamudio from Loyola Marymount.
WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PLAYER OF THE MONTH
GRACE GRAHAM-ZAMUDIO, JUNIOR, LOYOLA MARYMOUNT
Loyola Marymount junior Grace Graham-Zamudio is the WCC Women's Cross Country Player of the Month for October. Graham-Zamudio followed up a pair of individual titles in September with a solid October that featured a career best 5K time, a career best 6K time, a third individual title and a course record. On October 5 at the Chile Pepper Invitational in Fayetteville, Ar., Graham-Zamudio placed 14th overall in a field of 318 runners. She finished the 5K course in a career best time of 17:38.8, helping the Lions to a second place team finish behind then nationally-ranked No. 9 Arkansas.
On October 19 at the Bronco Invitational, Graham-Zamudio clinched her third individual title of the season, winning the 6K race in a course record and personal record 20:18.1. Her finish helped the Lions win the team championship as well, their third of the year.
