Karrie Hagedorn set to run NCAA Western Regionals

Moraga, CA - Gael harrier Karrie Hagedorn is set to compete in at the NCAA Western Regionals on November 11 from Portland, OR. Hagedorn, a junior, will be the first Gael to compete in the NCAA Regionals since 2002.

Hagedorn is coming off of an impressive season in which she became the second fastest runner in program history behind Allegra Porter. Hagedorn placed 18th at the WCC Championships, the highest spot for a Gael since 2003.

The NCAA Regions will take place from Blue Lake Park and is hosted by fellow WCC school, the University of Portland. Portland last hosted the meet from Blue Lake Park in 2003. The 6K course is a favorite among runners as it is almost entirely flat with a grass footing.

Hagedorn, an Oregon native, will return to her home state for the NCAA competitions. Hagedorn has done well in her home state. In her last Oregon race she ran her personal best time.

The NCAA race is set to begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 11 from Portland, OR.
