SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference is pleased to recognize its November Women's Cross Country Player of the Month, Bridget Dahlberg from San Francisco.
WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PLAYER OF THE MONTH
BRIDGET DAHLBERG, SENIOR, SAN FRANCISCO
San Francisco senior Bridget Dahlberg is the WCC Women's Cross Country Player of the Month for November. Dahlberg capped her lone cross country season on the Hilltop by becoming the second-straight USF runner to win the West Coast Conference individual title. She completed the WCC Championship course in 20:55 to earn the title and help the Dons to its fifth consecutive team title. Following up her title performance, Dahlberg led the team at the NCAA West Regionals on Nov. 15, turning in a time of 20:11, good for 21st place, to earn USTFCCCA All-West Region honors.
At the NCAA National Championships, Dahlberg finished as the 78th woman in the field of 256, earning 56 team points for the Dons. She completed the soft and muddy course in extreme winds and low temperatures in 21:10.03, as the second finisher for the Dons in the race. USF concluded the season at the No. 18 team in the nation, its highest final result in program history.
