Long Beach, Calif. - No. 30 Long Beach State rallied for three runs in the top of the 11th inning and Bryan Shaw pitched four scoreless innings of relief to lead the 49ers to a 10-7 victory over No. 23 Pepperdine Tuesday afternoon at Blair Field as the two teams concluded a game that was halted due to darkness at Eddy D. Field Stadium on February 6.
The 49ers rallied from a 7-0 deficit to record the come-from-behind victory.
Sophomore right hander Brett Hunter (5-3) suffered the loss after working 3.2 innings, allowing four hits, three runs, three walks and striking out four.
