Missouri Bounces UCLA From Regional, 2-1

MALIBU, Calif. - Missouri's Rick Zagone allowed one run on six hits while striking out seven Bruins and Evan Frey singled home Brock Bond in the bottom of the seventh as the Tigers ended UCLA's season, 2-1 Sunday afternoon in Malibu, Calif.

UCLA's (33-25) Tyson Brummett (6-7) took the loss despite surrendering just five hits and striking out six over 6 2-3 innings of work.

Bond went 1-for-2 on the day and accounted for both Missouri (33-26) runs after scoring in the fifth to tie the game at 1-1.

Tim Stewart walked to lead off the second inning and scored the lone Bruin run.

Zagone improved to 6-3.

Missouri will face Pepperdine at 3 p.m. (PDT).
